Job summary

Air Liquide in Belgium invites graduates to join its ALLEX program as an Operations Engineer based in Zaventem. You will learn to operate our plant portfolio and 3,000 km of pipelines across Benelux and Germany, supporting critical gas deliveries and a 24/7 ROCC.

The program combines a permanent role with a 6-month international assignment in Europe after 18 months, mentoring, and exposure to multiple business areas. Fluency in English and Dutch plus German or French is required.

Qualifications

• ALLEX program requirement: you are a recent graduate (max 36 months experience).
• Fluent in English & Good level of Dutch + at least one of the other languages: German or French.
• Flexibility to work in a full continuous shift system.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the complete portfolio of plants and pipelines across Benelux and Germany.
• Work in the Remote Operations Control Center on continuous shifts from Zaventem.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and contribute to keeping the network reliable.

Operations Engineer

For its Operations Control Center, Air Liquide is looking for a (m/f) : Operation Engineer (24/7) in the Benelux, Air Liquide operates an extensive pipeline grid to transport industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon monoxide) to its customers. Next to that, Air Liquide also distributes gases by road transport in liquid form or compressed into high pressure trailers.

This role is part of our graduate program: ALLEX – the Air Liquide Leading Excellence (ALLEX) Program is Air Liquide's international graduate program for talented and motivated fresh graduates from all over Europe. By participating in this program, you will have the opportunity to kick start your career by making an important contribution to your team and developing your skills on a professional and personal level. You will develop yourself through a 6-month international assignment within Europe after 18 months in your initial role.

What does a Operations Engineer do?

As a Operations Engineer you will learn how to operationally manage the complete portfolio of our plants and over 3,000 km of pipelines (spread over Benelux and Germany). You are responsible for a network that delivers gases to refineries, chemical plants, steel plants, etc. By this, you actively contribute to keep our organization in a leading position in a complex and dynamic market.

You will work in the Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC) in full continuous shifts and will be based in Zaventem.
