Forvis Mazars Group SC in Ghent or Brussels seeks a Junior Data Analyst to support our expanding Data Analytics team. You will help deliver data analytics services to clients and contribute to shaping the future of our audit.

You will work on ETL, data cleaning, quality checks, dashboards, and analytics using SQL, Python and Power BI, collaborating with audit teams to extract insights and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Engineering or related field with a specialization in Data Analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in the financial sector and sustainability data.
• Experience with SQL, Python or other data analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiar with data visualization and Power BI.
• Ability to interpret flowcharts and communicate insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality.

We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join us and reinforce our expanding Data Analytics team in our Ghent or Brussels office! The successful candidate will support our audit teams with cutting-edge automated solutions, contributing to delivering data analytics services to our clients and helping to shape the future of our audit.

Key Responsibilities

• You will collaborate with audit teams to build core audit expertise, with a focus on expanding insights through data analytics;
• You will assist with ETL processes:
• Collect or extract data from various sources (e.g. client’s databases);
• Perform data cleaning, if needed;
• Conduct reconciliation exercises and validations;
• Transform and remap data according to data requirements;
• Review data consistency and quality, and ensure proper formatting in Forvis Mazars' data systems.
• You will leverage gathered data for process mining, data mining, outlier identification, and data validation using AI-driven solutions;
• You will conduct analysis, create audit reports and interpret results;
• You will assist in the development of audit reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights;
• You will collaborate with team members to identify trends and patterns in data.

About You

• You have a Master's degree in Business Engineering or any related field, with a specialisation in Data Analytics;
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• You have an interest in the financial sector and sustainability data;
• You have experience with SQL, Python or other data analysis tools;
• You are strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
• You are able to design and interpret flowcharts;
• You are familiar with data visualization tools such as Power BI;
• You are native in Dutch and/or French, with a strong knowledge of English;
• You are eager to learn and grow in the data analysis field;
• You are familiar with basic accounting principles;
• You have excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality, even when performing repetitive tasks;
• You are a creative thinker with an "out-of-the-box" mindset;
• You have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
