MedTech Europe is seeking an Officer Communications to join our dynamic team in Brussels. Reporting to the Director Communications, the ideal candidate is a junior communicator with first policy comms experience and a passion for storytelling around healthcare and technology for EU audiences.

You will produce digital-first content, monitor media, coordinate with a designer, and keep projects and admin running smoothly while contributing to our advocacy work with members and experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, European Studies, Languages/Translation, or a related field.
• First relevant experience in digital communications, content production, or project coordination (internships and traineeships count).
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English; ability to adapt tone and format for different digital audiences.
• Hands-on experience with digital communication and content tools (CMS/website platforms, email/newsletter tools such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact, social media management tools, Canva or similar design tools).
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Eye for detail, proactivity, and willingness to learn.
• Strong team player, comfortable working cross-functionally with the Manager Communications, designer, and policy/technical colleagues.
• Fluency in English; additional EU languages are a strong asset.
• Eligible to work in Belgium.

Responsabilités

• Produce, adapt, and schedule content across MedTech Europe's digital channels (website, newsletters, social media) in line with the yearly content calendar, translating technical and advocacy files into clear, engaging material for general and specialist audiences.
• Track content performance and report on key metrics to refine future output.
• Own day-to-day media and social monitoring, under the guidance of the Director Communications, flagging relevant coverage, risks, and opportunities promptly.
• Support the Manager Communications with data and inputs for media analysis and impact measurement (e.g., share of voice, sentiment).
• Brief and work directly with the designer on visual content for newsletters, social media, reports, and events, proactively proposing formats and creative angles.
• Quality-check designed materials before publication for messaging and brand alignment.
• Run day-to-day project management for the Communications team: maintain content calendars, task trackers, and shared timelines across projects.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the team, including department-led events and the Communications Committee (agenda-setting, meeting organisation, minute-taking, follow-up on member feedback).
• Coordinate with external providers (freelancers, agencies) on discrete production tasks as needed.
