confidential Brussels-based law firm is seeking a Tax Litigation lawyer to join its renowned tax team and handle high-value tax dispute matters.

The candidate will work on audits, disputes, and proceedings before administrative and judicial authorities, with exposure to both Belgian and international clients. Dutch fluency and proficiency in French and English are required, along with a Master’s degree in Law and 1–3 years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law, ideally with tax law specialization.
• 1–3 years of experience in tax law and/or tax litigation.
• Strong interest in Tax Litigation and Tax Controversy matters.
• Excellent command of Dutch, plus good level of French and English.

Responsabilités

• Assist clients in relation to tax audits and proceedings with Belgian tax authorities.
• Draft legal documents such as tax objections, submissions, pleadings and appeals.
• Conduct in-depth legal research on Belgian and European tax law as well as case law.
• Assist with the preparation of hearings and client meetings.
• Work on multidisciplinary files involving complex tax dispute matters.

Let’s talk about you

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Holds a Belgian Master’s degree in Law, ideally complemented by a specialisation in tax law.
• Has between 1 to 3 years of experience in tax law and/or tax litigation.
• Has a strong interest in Tax Litigation and Tax Controversy matters.
• Has excellent command of Dutch, combined with a good level of French and English.
