Banque centrale du Luxembourg, member of the Eurosystem, has currently an opening in its IT operational security team for an:

Full time - (ref.: 24/IT6/2025)

Your mission:

The IT Security Expert defines and implements IT security measures (tools, processes, operational procedures) aligned with the BCL IT security policies. He contributes to technology survey, assistance and information sharing in multiple IT operational security domains and contributes to the Cyber Resilience Program. Depending on your profile you may be oriented more towards a Blue Team or Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) role.

Your responsibilities:
  • Create detection rules, monitor and analyse security events in order to detect security risks and threats.
  • Handle cyber security incidents: technical investigations, root cause analysis, impact analysis and remediation.
  • Stay up to date with security news, current threats and vulnerabilities and remedies emerging in the field, particularly those that may directly impact the BCL.
  • Contribute to various tasks such as: operating IT security platforms, threat hunting, digital forensics and incident response, looking for security vulnerabilities in our applications servers and network and follow-up the implementation of corrective measures, contribute to the design.
  • Cooperate with the other teams of the application owners and IT department in order to define the requirements and guarantee implementation and operations delivery.
  • Propose, elaborate and maintain technical policies, processes, procedures, tools, and technologies, as well as documentation to integrate solution practices into cybersecurity and IT activities and improvements.
  • Contribute to RFP definition and work closely with vendors to implement and configure selected solutions.
Your profile:
  • Master in IT technologies, preferably with a specialisation in IT security;
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing defensive security solutions, specifically SIEM management, security incident handling, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), SOAR and/or Threat Intelligence solutions for the Blue Team role;
  • Proven experience in design, implementation and operationalisation of DLP (Data Leakage Prevention), other data protection and cryptographic solutions for the DLP role.
  • Solid understanding of IT security threats and vulnerabilities following a risk-based approach;
  • Good knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, security tools and technologies;
  • Strong communication skills in English and in French;
  • Team player with a proactive and collaborative approach to defending the enterprise;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The following areas will be considered as an advantage:
  • Experience in CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) for the Blue Team role;
  • Experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions for the DLP role;
  • Relevant certifications in IT security;
  • Experience / knowledge in cloud security;
  • Experience / knowledge in AI security.
