Job summary

Grant Thornton België seeks a VAT Manager to deliver VAT advisory services to international and Belgian clients, acting as a trusted advisor during changes in activities, market expansion, mergers, and day-to-day operations. You will coordinate Belgian VAT matters, align non-Belgian VAT with local GT colleagues, and lead analyses aimed at VAT optimization, including ERP code setup and VAT health checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Tax or Master's degree in Economics or Law (Tax Law)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant VAT experience in international or consulting environments
• Proactive, analytical, solution-oriented mindset
• Strong Dutch and English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver VAT advisory services to international and Belgian clients
• Coordinate Belgian VAT matters and align non-Belgian VAT aspects with GT colleagues
• Perform VAT analyses, provide implementation guidance, and conduct VAT health checks
• Deliver VAT technical training sessions to client accounting and invoicing teams
• Support VAT audits with the authorities and assist with adjustments and penalties
