Job summary

Select Group in Antwerp is seeking an International Automation Lead to coordinate global automation projects, ensuring quality, schedule and budget while acting as the central contact for customers and internal stakeholders.

The role combines technical leadership in PLC/HMI/SCADA, industrial networks and commissioning with coaching of automation engineers and ongoing process improvements to strengthen the department and support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master in Automation, Electromechanics, or equivalent with at least 10 years in industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI/SCADA, industrial networks, functional analyses, and commissioning.
• A coaching and organisationally strong leader who mentors teams and drives continuous improvement, innovation and standardization.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow-up international automation projects with focus on quality, planning, budget and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, coach and support automation engineers and ensure effective team collaboration.
• Oversee functional analyses, software development and technical documentation throughout project lifecycle.
• Initiate improvements and standardization within processes, tools and ways of working to strengthen the department.

Als International Automation leadben je verantwoordelijk voor de coördinatie van internationale automatiseringsprojecten en fungeer je als het centrale aanspreekpunt voor zowel klanten als interne stakeholders. Dankzij jouw technische expertise binnen industriële automatisering en jouw sterke organisatorische vaardigheden zorg je ervoor dat projecten succesvol worden gerealiseerd binnen de vooropgestelde kwaliteit, planning en budgetten. Daarnaast neem je een coachende rol op binnen het team en draag je actief bij aan de verdere uitbouw en optimalisatie van de afdeling.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

• Coördineren en opvolgen van internationale automatiseringsprojecten, met focus op kwaliteit, planning, budget en klanttevredenheid.
• Aansturen, coachen en ondersteunen van automation engineers en zorgen voor een efficiënte samenwerking binnen het team.
• Bewaken van functionele analyses, softwareontwikkeling en technische documentatie gedurende het volledige projectverloop.
• Initiëren van verbeteringen en standaardisaties binnen processen, tools en werkwijzen om de afdeling verder te versterken.
