Job summary

Nalys is seeking an Integration Engineer to drive software and hardware integration for a strategic, long-term client project in the railway sector. You will collaborate with the development team to mature software solutions, define integration strategies, and guide testing efforts.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with low-level C code or neural network tuning, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and fluency in English and French to coordinate with European teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• 1 year of experience delivering projects involving software–hardware interactions.
• Familiar with network protocols and hardware architectures (CPU, real-time).
• Experience with developing critical software products, ideally in railway sector.
• Hands-on approach and ability to work across codebases (low-level C, NN tuning).
• Team player who values colleagues' ideas and collaboration.
• Fluency in English and French is required; other European languages are a plus.

You will be joining our team to work on a strategic, long-term project for one of our major clients, a leading global player in the Railway Sector. To support their development, we are looking for a skilled Integration engineer.

POSTE / MISSIONS

Reporting to the Software Director, you will perform hardware and software integration activities at the system, software, and software component levels. You will act as a direct counterpart to the development team, guiding and ensuring the maturation of our software solutions.

Your Daily Responsibilities

• Define a comprehensive strategy for software/software and hardware/software integration activities.
• Produce integration test specifications, which includes defining the test environment and configuring the hardware platform.
• Write and execute automated integration campaigns.
• Maintain the integration platform and its associated tools.
• Propose new integration technologies to be deployed.
• Actively participate in design and prototyping sessions

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ

Your Profile

• You hold a Master's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• You have at least 1 year of experience delivering projects involving software-hardware interactions.
• You are familiar with network protocols and hardware architectures (e.g., CPU, real-time architecture).
• You are familiar with the requirements for developing critical software products, ideally within the railway sector.
• You have a hands-on approach.
• You were born with a keyboard in your hands and are comfortable navigating any codebase, whether it involves working on low-level C code or tuning a neural network.
• You are a true team player who reveres competence and values the ideas brought forward by your colleagues.
• Fluency in French and English is required; knowledge of any other European language is considered a plus.
