Sander is seeking an Information Security & Risk Officer to own and evolve the organisation’s security and risk framework. You will identify and mitigate IT and cybersecurity risks while aligning with regulatory requirements and business priorities.

You will develop security policies and coordinate audits, working with IT and business stakeholders to raise awareness and embed security into decision-making. The role offers high autonomy and strategic impact in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in information security, IT risk or related governance roles.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks and governance principles.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIS2 and GDPR regulatory topics.
• Hands-on and strategic mindset with practical risk solutions.

As the organisation continues to strengthen its digital and IT environment, they are looking for an Information Security & Risk Officer to take a key role in developing and maintaining a strong security and risk framework.

Information Security & Risk Officer - The Role

• Take ownership of the organisation’s Information Security & Risk framework, ensuring it remains aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess and manage IT & Cybersecurity risks, translating them into concrete mitigation actions.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards and procedures, while continuously improving the overall security posture.
• Coordinate security assessments, audits and risk analyses, following up on findings and remediation plans.
• Work closely with IT, business stakeholders and management to raise security awareness and embed security into decision-making.
• Monitor the evolving cybersecurity & regulatory landscape and proactively translate new requirements into actionable initiatives.

Information Security & Risk Officer - The Profile

• You have 3 - 10 years of experience in Information Security, IT Risk, Cybersecurity Governance or a similar position.
• You have a solid understanding of security frameworks, risk management and governance principles.
• You are comfortable working with regulatory requirements and compliance topics such as ISO 27001, NIS2 or GDPR.
• You combine a hands-on and strategic mindset, with the ability to turn security risks into practical solutions.
• You are an autonomous and proactive professional who enjoys taking ownership and building things rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
• You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills and can interact confidently with both technical and business teams.
• You speak fluently English and French or Dutch.
