COHERENT Belgium is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure reliable operation of mechanical and electrical equipment. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance with a schedule Fri-Sun and every other Thu, including overtime.

The role requires reading manuals, troubleshooting, and contributing to continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and manufacturing/electrical experience; an AA in maintenance is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Manufacturing and electrical experience required.
• Experience with vacuum sintering furnaces or vacuum pumps desired.
• Experience with equipment under moderate vacuum desired.
• AA degree in mechanical/electrical maintenance desired.
• Previous experience in Reliability or Reliability Centric Maintenance methods desired.

Responsabilités

• Performs emergency, unscheduled, and scheduled maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Performs simple mechanical & pipefitting repairs as required.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; read manuals and work orders.
• Monitor trends in temperature, pressure, rotation, voltage, current, and vibration data.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and adjust equipment as needed.
• Provide ideas for continuous improvement; use hand and power tools and meters.
• Detect faulty operations and report to supervision; comply with SOPs and safety regulations.
