Job summary

NVISO seeks an HR Business Partner located in Belgium to join the HR team and make a meaningful impact on people and organization. You will advise managers, support transformation, and oversee the employee lifecycle with wellbeing at the core.

You will act as a trusted partner, coordinate HR projects, and drive initiatives across onboarding, performance, and talent development while embracing autonomy and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of strong experience as HR Business Partner, with wellbeing, performance management or learning and development focus.
  • Qualified, or willing to obtain, to act as an internal Prevention Advisor in Belgium.
  • Fluent English and French or Dutch language skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to managers and leadership, translating HR policies into people management practices.
  • Be a strategic sparring partner, translating organisation strategy into HR advice and solutions.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related questions from employees and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, performance, career progression and offboarding.

Tasks

As an HR Business Partner located in Belgium, you will be a core member of our HR team and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to make a meaningful impact on our people and organization. You will act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner, combining strong HR expertise with a genuine interest in the business.

As HR Business Partner, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to managers and leadership, providing guidance on a broad range of HR topics and supporting them in translating HR policies and practices into their day-to-day people management.
  • Be a strategic sparring partner to the business, developing a strong understanding of the organisation, its strategy, activities and challenges, and translating these into relevant HR advice and solutions.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related questions from employees, and stakeholders (leadership, expert community, manager community,…)
  • Coordinate and support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, performance management, career progression, and offboarding, with the aim of fostering a positive employee experience, strong performance, and sustainable wellbeing.
  • Provide expertise across a broad range of HR topics, including employee engagement, wellbeing, learning and development, performance management, talent management, competency management, employee relations, and the employee lifecycle.
  • Lead and contribute to company-wide HR projects that support our strategic priorities, such as onboarding, talent management, performance management or organisational development.
  • Act as a sparring partner during change and transformation, supporting managers and teams to navigate change and ensuring a well-supported and consistent approach in collaboration with the wider HR team.
  • Take on the role of internal Prevention Advisor for NVISO Belgium, supporting the employer, managers, and employees in applying workplace wellbeing and prevention requirements
  • Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of our HR processes, policies and overall employee experience.
  • Use people data and insights to support decision-making, identify trends and translate findings into meaningfulfindings actions for the business.
Requirements
  • You hold citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience;
  • At least 3 years of strong experience as HR Business Partner. Expertise within Wellbeing, Performance management or Learning and Development is a must.
  • You are qualified, or willing to obtain the required qualification, to act as an internal Prevention Advisor in Belgium;
  • Experience with Belgian workplace wellbeing and prevention legislation is a strong asset.
  • You have a broad and practical understanding of Belgian social and labor law, and can apply this knowledge when advising managers and employees on HR matters.
  • You enjoy operating with a great deal of autonomy, but also appreciate the value of team work.
  • You are results-oriented and able to deliver within preset deadlines. You value quality and employee-satisfaction and have a proactive mindset.
  • Fluent English and French or Dutch language skills are mandatory.
