Zusammenfassung

iBanFirst is a fast-growing European fintech delivering international payments and FX services to SMEs. We are seeking a Head of Internal Audit to lead the Third Line of Defence, ensuring governance, risk management and regulatory compliance across the Group.

The role is based in Paris or Brussels with occasional travel to other European offices. You will own the audit plan, supervise outsourced IT audits and drive remediation with senior stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years in internal audit, external audit or closely related control role.
• Experience in financial services, banking, payments or regulated fintech.
• Proven risk-based audits from planning to reporting and follow-up.
• Experience auditing non-IT business processes and control frameworks.
• AML, financial crime or regulatory compliance knowledge is a strong asset.
• Experience presenting audit findings to senior management and boards.
• English fluency; French or Dutch preferred.

Aufgaben

• Develop and annually review a risk-based internal audit plan.
• Execute internal audit engagements per the approved plan.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of governance, risk management and controls.
• Produce high-quality audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Oversee outsourced IT internal audits and monitor remediation progress.
• Present results to senior management, ExCo and the Board.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulator contacts.
• Build trusted relationships across the group and scale the function.
