ACE Belgium is seeking a Head of Finance to lead financial operations across Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Portugal. The role shapes financial processes, reporting principles and controls across the group and embeds accounting processes within the ERP system.

You will deliver timely financial visibility to the Board, support management decisions, and drive performance analysis across multiple entities while collaborating with the branch manager in Porto and the group management team.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance with broad financial responsibility.
• Experience across multiple legal entities; international experience is an advantage.
• Broad financial expertise: accounting, controlling, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Experience leading and developing finance professionals.
• Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English.

ABOUT ACE

ACE, founded in 1977, is an international engineering group, with more than 200 people and with operations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Portugal. We combine engineering, consultancy, (prototype) machine building and product development, working with customers across a range of industrial sectors.

Our different activities and entities require a finance organisation that works effectively across borders, with consistent processes, reporting and controls. Further harmonising Finance across the group is therefore an important step in the continued development of ACE.

THE ROLE

As Head of Finance, you will have overall financial responsibility for ACE in Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Portugal. You will define the financial processes, reporting principles and controls across the group and further align financial operations across the different countries.

You will shape the financial architecture of the group on reporting, accounting, tax, budgeting, cashflow management and business performance analysis.

You will take a hands-on approach, further embed the accounting processes within the ERP system and deliver timely and reliable financial visibility of the business to the Board and management of the group.

As a member of the Management Team, you will bring financial insight to operational and strategic decision-making in support of the growth of the group.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Strengthen and safeguard compliance, governance and risk management across the group.

You will directly manage the finance teams in Lummen (BE), Bruges (BE), Eindhoven (NL) and Poznan (PL) and work directly with the branch manager in Porto (PT). You will report directly to the member of the Board at group level.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• - At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance, including experience with broad financial responsibility.
• - Experience working across multiple legal entities. International experience is an advantage.
• - Broad financial expertise covering accounting, controlling, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• - Experience leading and developing finance professionals.
• - Strong analytical skills combined with a hands-on approach and the willingness to take on
• - Experience structuring and improving financial processes in a multi-entity environment.
• - Experience in an industrial, engineering or project-driven environment is preferred.
• - Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of AFAS is an advantage.
• - Full professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
