Skillbase Group is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer to join our IT team in Merelbeke. You will secure our IT environment across infrastructure, cloud, identity, endpoints and networks, while supporting security operations and incident response.

You will work closely with the CIO and IT teams as a trusted security partner. You will bring a solid IT infrastructure or systems administration background with practical cybersecurity experience, covering firewalls, IAM, EDR/XDR, and Zero Trust

Qualifications

• Solid IT infrastructure or systems administration background with practical cybersecurity experience.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices.
• Experience supporting security operations and incident response.

Responsabilités

• Support the implementation of NIS2 and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Monitor security events, analyse logs and investigate incidents.
• Support incident response, remediation and vulnerability management.
• Conduct security reviews of new systems, software and infrastructure.
• Advise IT teams on secure configurations and best practices.
• Support Microsoft 365, Entra ID, cloud and endpoint security.
• Contribute to security policies, procedures and security awareness.
• Keep up to date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
