An EU institution in Belgium is looking for a Governance Officer (M/F/D) to provide crucial advisory and organizational support to governing bodies. Responsibilities include organizing meetings, ensuring accurate record-keeping, drafting briefings, and enhancing governance processes. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business or related fields, at least 3 years of experience in a relevant setting, and excellent IT and drafting skills. This role offers a two-month contract with a strong possibility for extension.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience dealing with institutional, corporate, or policy matters.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize with precision in a high-pressure environment.
  • Capability of working both independently and as a supportive team player.

Responsabilités

  • Organize Executive and Senior Management meetings, including agenda preparation and logistics.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of meetings through minutes and action point logs.
  • Assist in drafting briefings for the Board.
  • Strengthen internal processes by proposing improvements to policies.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives and manage the team’s portals.
  • Monitor shared mailboxes and act as a backup for other officers.

For one of the EU Institution, we are currently looking for :

Governance Officer (M/F/D)

Reports to: Senior members of the Governance Division.

Purpose

You provide critical advisory and organizational support to the organization’s governing bodies (CEO, Board, Audit Board) and senior management committees. Your role focuses on Corporate Governance: ensuring high-level meetings run smoothly, decisions are documented accurately, and governance processes are optimized. It requires handling urgent matters independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Committee Management: Organize Executive and Senior Management meetings, including agenda preparation, material distribution, and logistics.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate documentation of meetings through minutes, summaries, and action point logs. You ensure decisions are properly recorded.
  • Drafting: Assist in drafting briefings for the Board.
  • Governance Framework: Strengthen internal processes by proposing improvements to policies based on best practices.
  • Digital Support: Support digital transformation initiatives and manage the team’s portals.
  • Operational Duties: Monitor shared mailboxes and act as a backup for other officers in the division when needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: University degree (preferably Master's) in Business, Law, Political Science, or Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience dealing with institutional, corporate, or policy matters.
  • IT Skills: Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) and adaptability to digital tools.
  • Drafting Skills: Strong ability to write, edit, and present information clearly and concisely.
