Bleckmann seeks a Global Health & Safety Auditor to establish and execute a worldwide audit program across sites in Europe, the U.S., and beyond. You will assess compliance with H&S standards and support continuous improvement while reporting to the Global H&S Director.

You will partner with site leaders to promote a culture of safety, provide objective findings, and drive corrective actions. The role requires extensive travel and fluency in English, with certifications in H&S management.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience as an H&S professional.
• Experience auditing H&S management systems.
• IRCA/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification is required.
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time.

About the job

Bleckmann has developed a global framework of H&S standards and procedures which it aims to implement over the coming 5 years. As our operations move towards a similar level of risk control, we are looking for an H&S professional with a strong auditing background who can conduct process-based audits across 40 sites located in Spain, England, The Netherlands, Belgium, and the U.S.

Your role

As a Global Health & Safety Auditor, you will be responsible for establishing and executing a global audit program across Bleckmann’s international operations. You will assess compliance with H&S standards and procedures, support continuous improvement, and provide assurance on the effectiveness of risk controls throughout the organization.

You will work closely with site leadership teams and key stakeholders while providing an independent view on Health & Safety performance and compliance.

Your responsibilities

Global Audit Program

• Establish a global audit program
• Conduct on-site audits in accordance with the audit program
• Track and enforce the closure of findings with auditees
• Report on overall assurance results to the Global H&S Director

Audit & Assurance

• Conduct process-based audits across Bleckmann sites
• Assess compliance with Health & Safety standards and procedures
• Evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls and management systems
• Provide objective findings and improvement recommendations

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with auditees and site management teams
• Support stakeholders in understanding audit outcomes
• Explain how to take auditees along and motivate improvement
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization

Your profile

Must have

• Experience as a H&S professional
• Experience in auditing H&S management systems
• Professional certification in the field of H&S management
• IRCA Certification as an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
• Sound knowledge of Holnagel’s Safety II and Safety I philosophy
• Thorough understanding of Dekker’s Safety Differently
• Ability to explain how to take auditees along and motivate improvement
• Willing to travel >50% of the time
• Fluent in English

• Certified coach
• Proficiency in the following languages:
