Waterleau in Haacht, Belgium is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to bring cutting‑edge water treatment installations to life worldwide. Based from our Haacht office, you will drive pre‑commissioning, start‑up and handover activities, ensuring installations perform to design specifications.

You will collaborate with process, automation and project teams, read P&IDs, troubleshoot on‑site, and maintain clear reporting. Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 0–5 years of experience in commissioning/start‑up/process engineering or industrial environments.
• Good understanding of process equipment, instrumentation and automation; PLC/SCADA familiarity a plus.
• Ability to read/interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics and functional descriptions.
• Proactive, hands‑on mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with customer‑facing on‑site experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work on customer sites for extended periods.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Execute pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities, including loop checks, functional testing and system start‑up.
• Verify that process design, automation logic and on‑site conditions align; identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot and optimize mechanical, electrical, process and automation‑related systems for stable and efficient operation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams through the commissioning phase.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers during start‑up and provide guidance.
• Prepare commissioning reports and support handover to operations.
