Jobat's client, a Belgian energy company driving the energy transition, seeks a GL Accountant to join the finance team. You will perform daily accounting in AP, AR and GL, ensure data accuracy, reconcile accounts and support monthly and annual closings for BE entities.

You will analyze cash flow, prepare financial statements, ensure local GAAP and IFRS compliance, and assist with VAT/Intrastat reporting, audits and internal controls. A proactive, collaborative finance professional is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience with daily accounting in AP, AR and GL.
• Ensuring accuracy of all data.
• Monthly and annual closings for BE entities.
• Preparation of cash flow and financial statements.
• Ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
• VAT declarations and Intrastat reporting.
• Support external audits and internal controls.
• Drive process improvements and automation within finance.

As a GL Accountant you will be performing the following tasks:

• Daily accounting entries in AP, AR and GL
• Ensuring accuracy of all data
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Monthly and annual closings for multiple BE entities
• Preparation and analysis of cash flow
• Preparation of the financial statements
• Ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS
• Financial reporting to group
• VAT-declaration and statutory reporting NBB / Intrastat
• Assisting with external audits and internal controls
• Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives
• Acting as a point of contact within the finance team
