Rhox is seeking a Geodata Engineer to translate business needs into reliable spatial data workflows and analyses. You will maintain geospatial datasets and help improve an interactive mapping platform.

Responsibilities include building workflows, optimizing datasets, analyzing spatial patterns, and developing mapping layers. You will ensure data quality and publish geospatial information via web mapping platforms while collaborating in an Agile team.

Formación

• 3–7 years of professional GIS/geospatial experience.
• Hands-on FME and PostgreSQL/PostGIS experience.
• Proficient in QGIS for editing and analysis.
• Python for geospatial processing and automation.
• Spatial SQL and geospatial data modelling.
• Experience publishing geospatial data via web mapping.
• Ability to translate business needs into maintainable geospatial solutions.
• Independent, organised and service-oriented with initiative and communication.
• French (C1) for day-to-day communication.
• English (B2) for code, scripts and technical documentation.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain geospatial integration and transformation workflows.
• Optimise geospatial datasets, data models and spatial queries.
• Analyse spatial patterns and produce thematic maps, indicators and reports.
• Maintain data quality and enrich geospatial reference datasets.
• Develop mapping layers and features from business requirements.
• Resolve geospatial application incidents and maintain technical and functional documentation.

What you bring

• 3 to 7 years of professional GIS, geospatial engineering or analytics experience, beyond internships.
• Hands-on FME and PostgreSQL/PostGIS experience, demonstrated through concrete project examples.
• QGIS for data editing, spatial analysis, visualisation and cartographic production.
• Python for geospatial processing, automation and GIS workflow integration.
• Spatial SQL, spatial database modelling and geospatial analysis methods.
• Experience publishing geospatial information through web mapping platforms.
• Ability to translate business requirements into maintainable geospatial solutions.
• Independent, organised and service-oriented working, with initiative and clear communication.
• Ability to collaborate with a lead in an Agile team.
• French (C1) for day-to-day communication.
• English (B2) for code, scripts and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Dutch (B1).
• WebGIS platforms and OGC webservices.
• GDAL, GeoPandas, Shapely or equivalent libraries.
• Experience with mobility, parking, transport, infrastructure or smart city datasets.
• Experience designing geospatial dashboards and interactive map applications.
• Data governance and metadata management knowledge.
• Public-sector experience.
