Umicore Belgium is seeking a skilled researcher to drive Chief Knowledge from Corporate Research & Development into practical AI solutions. You will design generative AI applications, integrate data sources, and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver measurable value.

The role emphasizes ownership of complex AI projects, development of industrial AI systems, and proficiency with Python, cloud platforms, and cutting-edge LLM technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, DataScienceor a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developingindustrial, agentic systems.
• Demonstrated experience delivering at least one custom Generative AI application beyond document processing.
• Experience working with business stakeholders and domain experts.
• Background in chemistry, materials science, processtechnology or automotive applications is a plus.
