Perspective Blue, acting for a fast-growing medical sector network headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, invites a General Ledger Accountant to join the finance team. You will manage the general ledger across multiple entities, post journal entries, and support month-end close with accurate reporting.

We seek a professional with at least 5 years' experience, strong Belgian VAT knowledge, and fluency in Dutch and/or French with good English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in general ledger or accounting.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian VAT and accounting principles.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Manage the general ledger for multiple entities within the group.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and provisions.
• Carry out monthly, quarterly and annual closings in line with group deadlines.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Support VAT compliance and liaise with external tax advisors.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors.
• Contribute to intercompany reconciliations and reporting across the group's entities.
• Support the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance team and other departments to ensure accurate, timely reporting.

On behalf of our client, a fast-growing network active in the medical sector, headquartered in the Leuven area and expanding across Belgium and neighboring countries, we are currently recruiting a General Ledger Accountant to strengthen their finance team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger for multiple entities within the group, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and provisions.
• Carry out monthly, quarterly and annual closings in line with group deadlines.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a General Ledger or accounting role, ideally in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian accounting principles and VAT regulations.
• Proficient with accounting software/ERP systems and Excel.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with a good working knowledge of English.
• Analytical, precise, and comfortable managing deadlines.
