Robert Half is looking for a General Accountant (FR/EN) in the Wavre area for a full-time, temporary assignment with the possibility of a permanent contract. Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
• Solid general accounting experience essential for this role.
• Cost accounting and financial closings experience desired.
• Professional proficiency in French and English.
• German knowledge would be an asset.
• Dynamic, autonomous and able to integrate quickly into a fast-growing team.
• Able to support external audit procedures when required.

Responsabilités

For one of its clients in the Wavre area, Robert Half is looking for a General Accountant FR/EN for a temporary assignment with the possibility of a permanent contract, on a full-time basis.

Our client is an international company active in the chemical industry, located in the Wavre area and currently undergoing a major transformation and growth phase. You will join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on collaboration, accuracy and continuous development within the finance team.

Your main responsibilities for this position of General Accountant are:

• you oversee the general accounting activities for two entities and ensure the accuracy of the accounts;
• you monitor accounts and analyse and process accounting entries;
• you prepare VAT returns and ensure regulatory compliance;
• you monitor and report on cost accounting elements to support financial decision-making;
• you prepare and perform monthly, quarterly and annual closings with a high level of rigour;
• you support the team during external audit procedures when required.

The profile sought for this position of General Accountant is:

• you have at least 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting;
• you have solid experience in general accounting, which is essential for this role;
• you ideally have experience in cost accounting and financial closings;
• you have a professional proficiency in French and English;
• you have knowledge of German, which would be considered an asset;
• you are dynamic, autonomous and able to integrate quickly into a fast-growing team;
• you are comfortable supporting external audit processes when needed.

Our offer for this position of General Accountant is:

• a gross monthly salary between €4,500 and €5,000;
• a full-time temporary contract of 6 months with the possibility of a permanent contract afterwards;
• a remote working policy of up to 2 days per week after the initial training period;
