Artefact Belgium is seeking a Data Scientist – Gen AI to join our Brussels team, working on cutting-edge LLM and GenAI projects that shape real-world AI solutions.

You bring 1–3 years of hands-on experience with LLMs and NLP, strong Python skills, and familiarity with Hugging Face or OpenAI. The role offers a dynamic, inclusive environment with ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/Math/Engineering/Physics or related field.
• 1–3 years with LLMs and generative AI.
• Strong Python programming and NLP library experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Dutch or French a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design, train, and fine-tune state-of-the-art models for client and internal use.
• Develop agentic AI solutions using tool calling and MCP.
• Research innovative generative AI applications to solve business problems.
• Create evaluation frameworks to measure LLM performance and benchmarks.
• Improve performance, scalability, and usability of LLM-powered products.
• Deploy and maintain AI systems, including models and APIs.
• Participate in technical discussions to shape solutions.
