Verhaert Consulting is seeking an experienced Functional Safety Architect to own the safety architecture for next-gen electrified powertrains. You will drive ISO 26262 compliance across the complete product lifecycle, collaborating with systems, electronics and software teams to translate safety goals into concrete requirements.

You will lead safety analyses (HARA, FSC, TSC, DFMEA, FTA, FMEDA), review safety cases and advise stakeholders on safety-related decisions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Automotive, Electrical or Systems Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in automotive systems engineering, embedded systems or functional safety.
• Hands-on ISO 26262 experience across product development lifecycle.
• Ability to translate safety goals into technical requirements and allocate across disciplines.

Responsabilités

• Define and maintain the functional safety concept for complex automotive systems.
• Ensure ISO 26262 compliance across system, hardware and software domains.
• Lead safety analyses and safety case development (HARA, FSC, TSC, DFMEA, FTA, FMEDA).
• Translate safety goals into technical requirements and allocate to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with suppliers to align safety requirements and processes.
• Guide safety activities from concept to production readiness.
