Job summary

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is seeking a Full-stack Developer (Java, Angular) fluent in English to be based in Brussels, Belgium. The role may be on company premises or at client premises on site, with initial collaboration on a major client project.

Your tasks include API redesign, backend/frontend development, middleware maintenance, and architectural evolution, with documentation and on-site deployment support. On-site work at company or client premises is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a full-stack developer.
• 2 years with Java in back-end development.
• 2 years with relational databases (data modelling, performance, queries).
• 1 year with front-end development (Angular preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Java for web app back-end development.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases.
• Strong knowledge of application security.
• Good knowledge of cloud development (public, hybrid, or private).
• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Maven, Gradle, Postman, SonarQube).
• Good knowledge of software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of XML and XSD.
• Knowledge of data modelling for analytical apps is a plus.
• Knowledge of Scala is a plus.
• Excellent command of English; basic French.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to redesign and redevelopment of backend APIs and data integrations.
• Maintain a middleware layer connecting front-end to a PaaS software, including authN/authZ.
• Contribute to evolution of the architecture with cross-functional experts.
• Produce technical documentation.
• Contribute to front-end development when needed.
• Assist with upgrade and deployment of off-the-shelf data processing software.
• Interact with business analysts, front-end developers and DevSecOps.
