BDO Belgium is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and scale secure, cloud-native web applications for internal teams and clients.

You will work with modern stacks (TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js) and frameworks (SvelteKit, React, Vue, Next.js), building APIs, integrating systems, and applying secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in modern full-stack web development.
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills.
• Experience with SvelteKit, React, Vue or Next.js.
• Solid SQL and ORM/Query-builder knowledge.
• Cloud and DevOps exposure, CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
• Security-minded with knowledge of OWASP and GDPR.
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French proficiency.
• Team player with consulting mindset.

What will you be doing?

In this role,you’llcontribute to the development of modern web applications while helping shape the future of our growing web development practice.

• Build modern applicationsby developing and extending internal and client-facing web applications using modern full-stack technologies.

• Create high-quality solutionsby delivering performant, accessible and maintainablefrontendand backend features.

• Integrate business systemsthrough APIs, enterpriseplatformsand identity management solutions.

• Develop cloud-native applicationswith a strong focus on Microsoft Azure,scalabilityand operational excellence.

• Contribute to technical excellenceby improving reusable components, developer tooling, testingpracticesand architectural standards.

• Promote quality and securityby applying secure coding principles, authentication and authorization best practices, automatedtestingand GDPR-aware development.

• Leverage AI technologiesby using tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance productivity and software delivery.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsto translate business requirements into elegant and practical technical solutions.

• Share knowledge and mentor colleaguesthrough code reviews, bestpracticesand technical coaching.

• Help grow the practiceby contributing to the evolution of BDO's web development capabilities,standardsand delivery methodologies.

What do you bring to the table?

We'relooking for a talented developer who combines strong technical skills with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.

• Relevant experience:3+ years of experience in modern full-stack web development forMediorlevel, or 5+ years for Senior level.

• Technical expertise:Strong knowledge of TypeScript, modernJavaScriptand the Node.js ecosystem.

• Front-end development skills:Experience with modern frameworks such as Svelte/SvelteKit, React, Vue or Next.js.

• Database knowledge:Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases and ORM or query-builder patterns.

• Cloud & DevOps exposure:Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloudenvironmentsand modern deployment practices. Experience with GitHub Actions is a plus.

• Security mindset:Understanding of secure development principles, authentication, authorization, OWASP Top 10 and data protection requirements.

• Software engineering best practices:Comfortable with Git workflows, code reviews,testingand maintainable code architecture.

• AI affinity:Interest in applying AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies within software solutions.

• Language proficiency:Fluent in Dutch or French, with a strong command of English.

• Team spirit:A collaborative mindset and the ambition to contribute to a growing and innovative practice.

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Experience building reusable tooling,componentlibrariesor internal development frameworks.

• Familiarity with automated testing, accessibility standards, schema validation or containerized environments.

• Knowledge of serverless architectures, design systems, theming or internationalization.

• Experience documenting architectures and technical decisions.

• Previous experience in consulting or multi-project environments.
