Job summary

Intact, the world’s leading software solutions provider for the TIC industry, is seeking Frontend Engineers to build a modern SaaS platform. You will join autonomous, cross-functional squads and shape how we build and deliver domain capabilities end to end.

As part of a large transformation, you’ll collaborate with Product Management, UX, and fellow engineers to create scalable, accessible web applications and contribute to shared design systems. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining modern web applications in a complex SaaS product environment.
• Experience with frontend testing, API integration, CI/CD, performance optimization, and accessibility.
• Understanding of scalable frontend architectures, reusable component libraries, and design systems.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted software engineering and enthusiasm for new tools and practices.
• Strong product mindset and attention to user experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs, challenge requirements, and contribute to product discovery and solution design.
• Work closely with Product Management, UX, and Product Engineers as equal partners.
• Design and develop maintainable, performant, accessible, and secure web applications.
• Apply and contribute to shared design systems, UI components, and frontend standards for a consistent experience across domains.
• Own frontend quality, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement in production.
• Use AI-assisted tools throughout development, testing, and problem-solving.
• Share knowledge, challenge technical decisions constructively, and reduce complexity.

As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be part of an autonomous, cross-functional product squad that designs, builds, and operates domain capabilities end to end. You'll go beyond implementing designs and requirements: you'll understand customer problems, challenge assumptions, and shape intuitive, scalable solutions together with Product Management, UX, and fellow engineers.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

• Experience with frontend testing, API integration, CI/CD, performance optimization, and accessibility
• Understanding of scalable frontend architectures, reusable component libraries, and design systems
• Practical experience with AI-assisted software engineering and enthusiasm for new tools and practices
• Strong product mindset and attention to user experience
• Proactive, collaborative approach with a sense of ownership for quality and production reliability
• Fluent in English; German is a plus

• Competitive salary: in Austria due to legal requirements from € 55,356 gross per year (full-time), with overpayment based on qualifications and experience; for other locations, in line with local market conditions
