Qualifications

• Two+ years as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Software Engineer in a complex enterprise.
• Strong Angular and modern front-end practices for enterprise apps.
• Proficiency with the .NET/.NET Core ecosystem and its integration with front-end architecture.
• Ability to design reusable components, patterns and standards.
• Knowledge of web security and authentication protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML).
• Clear communication of architectural decisions and coaching across teams.

A major insurance organisation is strengthening its architecture capability for enterprise web applications built with Angular and the .NET/.NET Core ecosystem. As a Front End Technical Architect, you will define reusable front-end components, development standards and secure patterns, then help delivery teams apply them consistently across customer and internal digital solutions.

The mission

The architecture function sets technical direction for a broad web application landscape. Angular front ends connect to .NET/.NET Core services and enterprise identity standards including OAuth2, OpenID Connect and SAML. The work improves consistency, security, performance and maintainability while giving delivery teams practical standards they can use in implementation.

Your day-to-day scope covers translating business and functional requirements into sustainable technical architectures, documenting decisions and assessing the impact, risks and dependencies of technology changes. You will work with developers, product and functional stakeholders and governance bodies. The role connects shared architectural decisions with implementation work, so guidance must be specific enough for teams to apply in code and delivery pipelines.

Your responsibilities

• Define front-end architectures and reusable components that can be adopted across multiple Angular applications.
• Establish development standards, patterns and implementation guidelines that improve consistency and maintainability.
• Translate business and functional requirements into sustainable technical architectures, balancing delivery needs with security, scalability and technology lifecycle considerations.
• Assess the impacts, risks and dependencies of technology changes, and recommend proportionate options to decision makers.
• Present architecture documentation and technical recommendations to governance boards and delivery stakeholders.
• Coach developers and delivery teams on secure development practices, performance optimization and effective use of shared frameworks.

Your profile

Essential skills

• Bring at least two years of experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect or Senior Software Engineer in a complex enterprise environment.
• Apply strong Angular and modern front-end development practices to enterprise-grade web applications.
• Work confidently across the .NET/.NET Core ecosystem and understand its integration with front-end architecture.
• Design reusable components, patterns, frameworks and development standards rather than one-off solutions.
• Apply web security standards and authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect and SAML.
• Communicate architectural decisions clearly, analyse trade-offs pragmatically and coach multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred skills

• Use design systems, UI component libraries and AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and automated quality controls.
• Support architecture assessments, technology evaluations, proof-of-concept initiatives and technical decision making.
• Provide architectural governance across multiple delivery teams, including technology upgrades and technical debt reduction.
