Stott and May are seeking an API Manager freelance to strengthen their API Security & API Management practice across Senior, Medior and Junior levels. You will configure, deploy and develop API Gateway solutions on a leading enterprise platform, work with OpenAPI specs and implement OAuth2/OIDC flows.

Ideal candidates have hands-on API Gateway experience, strong API security skills (JWT/JWK/OAuth2), and familiarity with SOA patterns, CI/CD, and secure build pipelines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with a leading API Gateway platform.
• Strong grasp of API security tooling and standards (JWT, JWK, OAuth2, OIDC).
• Familiarity with SOA design patterns and secure build pipelines.
• Working knowledge of dev/collaboration tooling (VCS, API testing, issue tracking, CI/CD).
• Higher education or equivalent demonstrable experience; seniority bands.

Responsabilités

• Configuring, deploying and developing API Gateway solutions on a leading enterprise platform.
• Working across OpenAPI/Swagger/YAML specifications and JWT/JWK-based security.
• Implementing OAuth2/OIDC authentication and authorisation flows.
• Supporting SOAP/WSDL/WS-Security integrations alongside REST APIs.
• Applying API & SOA design principles — microservices, loose coupling, event-driven architecture.
