Abakus IT-Solutions is seeking seasoned API/SOA professionals to join a multinational IT team in Belgium. Roles include developer, architect and team lead with emphasis on API design, integration and security across REST and SOAP services.

Candidates should demonstrate experience with API management platforms, security protocols (OAuth2/OIDC/JWT), and modern microservices architectures. English plus French/Dutch are valued.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain API and SOA solutions
• Design and define API architectures and integration solutions
• Develop APIs using Java or other programming languages
• Work with REST and SOAP architectures and web services
• Design and work with OpenAPI, Swagger, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT and JWK
• Work with WSDL, XML, XSD and JSON
• Contribute to the implementation and management of API Management solutions
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, Product Owners, project managers and other technical stakeholders
• For experienced profiles, take on responsibilities related to technical leadership, team coordination and project follow-up

Profiles

We are particularly interested in:

• API/SOA Developer: strong experience in API development, Java and integration technologies.
• API/SOA Architect: solid experience in API/SOA architecture, API Management, integration and security.
• API/SOA Team Lead: experience in technical leadership and/or team management, combined with strong API/SOA and integration expertise.

Several seniority levels are considered: Junior, Medior, Senior and Expert.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the position and your level of experience, your responsibilities may include:

• Design, develop and maintain API and SOA solutions
• Design and define API architectures and integration solutions
• Develop APIs using Java or other programming languages
• Work with REST and SOAP architectures and web services
• Design and work with OpenAPI, Swagger, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT and JWK
• Work with WSDL, XML, XSD and JSON
• Contribute to the implementation and management of API Management solutions
• Work with platforms such as Apigee, Axway, WSO2, Red Hat Fuse or equivalent solutions
• Apply API security best practices
• Contribute to the design of microservices and loosely coupled architectures
• Work with event-driven architectures and messaging systems
• Participate in testing, deployment and secure pipeline activities
• Produce technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, Product Owners, project managers and other technical stakeholders
• For experienced profiles, take on responsibilities related to technical leadership, team coordination and project follow-up

Candidate Profile

We are looking for professionals with:

• Relevant experience in API, SOA, integration or Web Services
• A good understanding of integration architectures and technologies
• Experience corresponding to the required seniority level
• The ability to work in complex IT environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

For Architect profiles, experience in architecture design, technical solution definition and architectural decision-making will be particularly valued.

For Developer profiles, hands-on experience in development, particularly with Java, APIs, REST/SOAP and Web Services, is expected.

For Team Lead profiles, experience in technical leadership, team coordination, functional analysis and/or IT project management will be particularly valued.

Languages
