Verhaert | On-site Consulting is seeking an FPGA Engineer to design, implement, and validate core digital logic and embedded software for high-tech, mission-critical systems. You will translate complex requirements into robust, high-performance FPGA solutions.

Key responsibilities include VHDL development, timing closure, test benches, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with electronics and systems engineering teams. Based in Belgium, knowledge of Dutch is an asset.

Qualifications

• Experience in VHDL design, simulation, and hardware verification.
• Strong knowledge of digital design principles, timing closure, and FPGA architectures.
• Experience with embedded software development and hardware/software co-design.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team attitude.
• Based in Belgium; knowledge of Dutch is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Design, code, and test VHDL logic and embedded software for functional subsystems.
• Perform simulation, verification, and timing closure to ensure design performance.
• Create and maintain test benches and integration scripts.
• Collaborate with electronics and system engineering teams for hardware/software co-design.
• Follow coding standards, participate in peer reviews, ensure traceability.
• Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues during hardware integration and testing.
• Document designs and contribute to team knowledge-sharing.
