Atlas Copco Airpower N.V. in Wilrijk, Antwerp, Belgium, seeks a CAE specialist to advance fluid-dynamic and thermal simulations and to apply machine-learning techniques for product optimization.

You will collaborate with global product teams to define simulation strategies, integrate them into the development cycle, and mentor junior colleagues while communicating clearly with stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master of Engineering Science or Master of Science required; a PhD or research experience is advantageous.
• Strong experience with fluid dynamics and CFD simulations.
• Experience with machine-learning techniques and programming.

Asanexpertin fluid-dynamic and thermal simulations,youdrive productoptimizationthroughadvancedmodeling.Beyondperformingadvanced simulationsacross diverseapplications, youcollaborateclosely withglobalproduct development teams to identify where simulations canstrengthenthe design process. You defineeffectivesimulation strategies and ensure theyareseamlesslyintegrated intothe development cycle.

Youalsoplay an important rolein developingthecompetence domainby stayingup to datewith thestate of the artonfluid-dynamic and thermal analysisas well as emergingmachine-learning techniques.Youidentifyopportunities toenhanceour models and tools,translate these intoconcrete development roadmaps,andcontributetotheirexecution.In addition, you mentorjuniorcolleaguesandcommunicate clearlywithstakeholders worldwideaboutthe capabilities and limitations of simulations.

Youreport tothe team lead of the CAE teamand will work hybrid on our site in Wilrijk.

To succeed, you will need

• Master of Engineering Science or Master of Science
• A Phd or research experience in the domain
• Strong experience with fluid dynamics and CFD simulations is a must
• Experience with machine-learning techniques
• Experience with programming
• Experience with flow and/or thermal measurements
• Passion for technical challenges and a strong interest in research
• A problem-solving and creative mindset to come up with novel solutions
• Proven team player with excellent interpersonal communication
