Job summary

Plouvier is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to act as the central link between our inland tanker vessels, Captains and shore teams. You will coordinate day-to-day operations, plan vessel movements and respond rapidly to changing plans.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with experience in inland/tanker shipping and proficiency in English, Dutch and German. A hands-on mentality and ownership are valued, with regular visits onboard.

Qualifications

• Experience in inland shipping, tanker shipping or a comparable maritime environment.
• Good understanding of vessel operations and life onboard.
• Experience working with Captains, crew or maritime operations.
• Dispatching, vessel planning or fleet operations experience is advantageous.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and decisive in fast-moving environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations and movements of our vessels.
• Act as central contact for Captains and crew.
• Follow up vessel schedules, voyages, loading and unloading.
• Coordinate changes to planning and respond to issues.
• Monitor vessel availability and progress.
• Coordinate with chartering, terminals, customers and partners.
• Escalate operational, safety or technical matters as needed.
• Keep information and planning up to date in our systems.
• Support smooth communication between vessels and shore organisation.
• Ensure timely decisions in fast-moving environment.
