Siemens is seeking a Financial Project Controller in Belgium to lead planning, controlling, and reporting for the business unit. You will partner with management, develop dashboards, and drive cost efficiency across the organization.

The role requires strong financial analysis, SAP proficiency, and fluency in Dutch with good English. A hybrid work setup with some remote days is offered in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong ability to interpret key financial statements.
• Proficient in MS Excel and SAP.
• Fluent in Dutch with good English communication.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, controlling, and reporting for the business unit.
• Partner with management by providing insights into performance, risks, and forecasting.
• Develop models and dashboards to optimize cost flows.
• Conduct budget vs. actual analyses, benchmarking, forecasting and reporting.
• Analyze and optimize cost structures based on cost accounting.
• Identify efficiency opportunities and support cost booking accuracy.
• Prepare presentations for internal stakeholders from budgets and forecasts.
• Define and monitor KPIs to drive business goals.
• Design follow-up models to quantify benefits of efficiency plans.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations.

Therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Financial Project Controller to reinforce our fantastical team.

Your Mission & Responsibilities:

As a Financial Project Controller, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, driving strategic decision-making and optimizing performance. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Comprehensive Financial Management: Leading planning, controlling, and reporting activities for the business unit.
• Strategic Business Partnering: Supporting management by providing crucial insights into performance, risks, and forecasting to enhance operational efficiency.
• Efficiency & Cost Optimization: Defining new models/dashboards and leveraging existing operational and financial dashboards to continuously improve the department's cost flows.
• In-depth Financial Analysis: Executing budget and financial planning, conducting detailed actual-versus-plan analysis, benchmarking, forecasting, and reporting to empower management's decision-making process.
• Cost Structure Enhancement: Applying your analytical and critical mindset to analyze and evaluate existing cost structures, optimizing them based on the cost accounting system.
• Performance Improvement Initiatives: Identifying and proposing efficiency measures to boost business performance and ensure accurate cost booking.
• Stakeholder Communication: Developing and delivering regular presentations for internal stakeholders, based on consolidated budgets and periodic forecasts.
• KPI Definition & Monitoring: Defining and monitoring relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the achievement of critical business goals.
• Impact Assessment: Designing follow-up models to calculate the benefits of efficiency plans and performing Actual vs. Plan comparisons to track the effects of agreed measures.
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Carrying out insightful ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations to support various business needs.

Are you the talented individual we're looking for?

You should possess:

• A degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Solid accounting skills with a proven ability to understand and interpret key financial statements.
• Excellent professional knowledge of MS Office, with expert proficiency in Excel, and SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a critical mindset.
• A genuine passion for working with numbers and data.
• Fluency in Dutch and a good command of English. Knowledge of French is considered a valuable asset.
