Vivid Resourcing is assisting a listed, Antwerp-based real estate company to hire a Financial Controller. You will own quarterly close, IFRS reporting, and group consolidation, with exposure to senior stakeholders and a fast-paced 2–3 day close. This role offers significant ownership within a lean finance team.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in controlling or financial reporting, Big 4 experience is highly relevant, and fluency in Dutch and English. Yardi ERP will be a key tool.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in controlling, audit or financial reporting.
• Big 4 audit experience is highly relevant.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting fundamentals.
• Good understanding of IFRS; real estate experience not required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with tight deadlines and ownership.
• Proactive, hands-on and able to work independently.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent Dutch and English.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of the quarterly closing process within a 2–3 day timeframe.
• Prepare and analyse actuals for timely financial reporting.
• Prepare Belgian reporting for group consolidation.
• Analyse financial performance of the Belgian portfolio.
• Manage and develop the forecasting model and key drivers.
• Support IFRS reporting and Belgian regulatory compliance.
• Prepare KPI and cash flow reporting for senior management and Board.
• Act as key contact for external auditors.
• Collaborate with Group Controller & Consolidation Manager.
• Be the key user for the Yardi ERP system.

I’m currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join the Belgian Finance team of a growing, internationally active and listed real estate company based in Antwerp.

This is a high-impact role within a lean Finance team, offering significant ownership and exposure to quarterly reporting, IFRS, consolidation, forecasting and senior stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the quarterly closing process, completed within a fast-paced 2–3 day timeframe
• Prepare and analyse actuals, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare Belgian reporting as input for group consolidation
• Analyse the financial performance and profitability of the Belgian portfolio
• Manage and develop the forecasting model, analysing key drivers and financial impacts
• Support IFRS reporting and ensure compliance with relevant Belgian regulatory requirements
• Prepare KPI reporting, cash flow reporting and financial information for senior management and the Board
• Act as the key contact for the external auditor
• Work closely with the Group Controller & Consolidation Manager
• Become a key user and point of contact for the Yardi ERP system
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to finance digitalisation and AI projects
