BubblyDoo is a fast-growing scaleup in Antwerp, Belgium, seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to own the numbers and lead the finance function alongside the founders. You will drive the monthly close, cashflow planning, VAT, and interactions with licensing partners, all while leveraging AI to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Autonomous finance professional who can build and run the finance function for a scaleup.
• Analytical, fast-learning, able to deliver accurate numbers and recommendations.
• Experience with international sales tax and multi-currency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly close and reconciliation of trial balance and balance sheet.
• Provide monthly updates to management and board on contribution margin and cash.
• Manage cashflow and VAT reporting across 20+ countries.

BubblyDoo is based in Antwerp, Belgium with a view on 'de schelde' and we are looking for an analytical, hands-on, structured Finance Manager to join the team. Who you are

• You're a highly autonomous finance professional who can build and run the finance function of a scaleup from the ground up. You know that in a small team you're both the strategist and the one who closes the books.
• You are analytical, ambitious, fast-learning, ready to get things done well and fast, and not afraid to go the extra mile when needed (hello, Q4 peak season).

What you'll be working on:

You will be fully responsible for BubblyDoo's finances, reporting directly to the co-founders.

• Own the monthly close and full reconciliation of the trial balance and balance sheet, delivered on a fixed monthly timetable
• Report to management & board: monthly update including contribution margin & cash
• Manage our cashflow
• Handle VAT reporting in 20+ countries, together with our VAT agency
• Find efficiencies in partnership with accountant
• Manage accounts payable
• Bring AI into our finance processes (e.g. Cashfeed)
• Report to our licensing partners (Disney, Paramount, …)
• ...

What your skills are

• You're very proficient in Excel / Google Sheets and financial modelling
• You have a strong grasp of Belgian accounting and international VAT
• You are proficient in using AI and automation tools to optimize workflows and deliver high-quality results
• You communicate fluently in Dutch & English
• You have experience with lots of data work (eg. e-commerce data (e.g. Shopify, Stripe, PayPal))

What your experience is

• You have a bachelor or master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a similar field
• You have at least 3 years of experience in finance, for example in audit, controlling or a finance role at a fast-growing company
• Plus: Experience with international sales (US sales tax, multi-currency) or licensing/royalties is a plus
