Deloitte Belgium is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Controller to strengthen the Accounting and Regulatory Reporting team within the Central Finance Center of Expertise. The role supports monthly and year-end closings, prepares regulatory reports for BE GAAP and IFRS, and compiles management statements and tax declarations.

You will collaborate with various controllers, ensure accurate data for audits, and drive process improvements while working in a hybrid setup across Belgium.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting or Economics is required.
• BE GAAP knowledge is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel; SAP experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and reconciliation abilities.
• Experience in consolidation processes and auditing is a plus.
• Proficient in Dutch and English; able to explain processes clearly.

Responsabilités

• Support monthly and year-end closing processes with compliance to regulations.
• Analyze P&L and balance sheet movements monthly and on ad hoc basis.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations across ledgers.
• Coordinate with accountants and finance controllers for timely information.
• Review and propose accounting treatments for new transactions.
• Assist in preparation of tax declarations.
• Document and optimise internal controls across cycles.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external audits.

We are currently seeking a Regulatory Reporting Controller to enhance our Accounting and Regulatory Reporting team in the Center of Expertise within the Central Finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including supporting monthly and year‑end closings, conducting monthly and ad hoc analyses and reconciliations, preparing regulatory reports – BE GAAP for both statutory and consolidation purposes, as well as IFRS – compiling management financial statements, preparing tax declarations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the monthly and year‑end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting, legal, and tax regulations.
• Perform detailed analyses of profit and loss and balance sheet movements on both a monthly and ad hoc basis.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and reconcile data across different accounting ledgers.
• Collaborate closely with accountants, central finance controllers and controllers from various business units to obtain accurate and timely information for analysis.
• Review and propose accounting treatments for new transactions within the firm.
• Assist in the preparation of tax declarations.
• Document and optimise internal controls across various business cycles.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator for internal and external audit processes.

• Master's degree in Accounting or Economics.
• BE GAAP knowledge is required.
• Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP is advantageous.
• Very strong analytical, mathematical, and reconciliation skills, coupled with a critical mindset.
• Experience in audit is a plus.
• Solid understanding of consolidation processes.
• Ability to work independently in an organised and structured manner, prioritising effectively.
• Capable of explaining and documenting processes clearly and systematically.
