Polysense in Gent is seeking a Field Hardware Specialist to design, prototype and deploy rugged camera hardware for food-industry vision systems. You will create hardware frameworks, select cameras and lighting, and translate concepts into working parts on the factory floor.

You’ll own projects end-to-end, collaborate with software, source components, and ensure builds are practical, maintainable and built to endure daily cleaning cycles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or related field.
• Solid CAD skills with SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Fusion 360.
• Hands-on prototyping: machining, 3D printing, assembly and similar.

Responsabilités

• Design hardware frameworks to integrate vision systems into production environments.
• Build & integrate hardware, machining and electrical box assembly to meet food industry standards.
• Collaborate with software team to ensure hardware and vision system work together from day one.
• Own projects end-to-end while communicating progress, blockers and decisions.
