The Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) department is the backbone of our critical infrastructure, leading all aspects of the design, operation, and maintenance of buildings, HVAC systems, utilities, and installations across our sites in Belgium. From centralized production and distribution systems to chemical and pharmaceutical production and R&D facilities.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Take proactive ownership of alarms, risks and improvement opportunities, involving the right experts at the right time and supporting business continuity and risk management.
  • Build strong working relationships with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Quality, Supply Chain and external partners, and use KPI reporting to support informed decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with the Facility Manager and colleagues across the campus and logistics team to coordinate contractor management and support future investment projects.
  • Help maintain a safe, orderly and inspection-ready environment for colleagues, customers and contractors.
Requirements
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical discipline, facility management or a comparable field—or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in facilities, maintenance, utilities or technical services. Experience in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing or other regulated industrial environment is a strong advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of technical installations, building management and maintenance processes, combined with confidence using digital tools.
  • A clear, respectful communication style and a genuine service mindset, enabling you to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills, sound judgement in setting priorities and the ability to follow multiple actions through with accuracy.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach: you work independently, take initiative, think in solutions and remain composed when priorities shift.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance, together with an understanding of the expectations of a regulated environment.
  • Professional fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
What we offer
  • A varied and meaningful position within a dynamic international organisation, where your work has a direct impact on the operational performance of a strategic site.
