Jensen Hughes in Belgium is seeking a Facade / External Wall Engineer to support façade engineering and external wall fire consultancy services under supervision. You will gain exposure to façade systems through site visits and documentation, developing core engineering skills in thermal and fire performance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Façade Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of building design and construction principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & Dutch.
• Willingness to travel to the UK for site visits without restriction.

Responsabilités

• Support the review of architectural drawings, specifications, and technical information relating to façade and external wall systems.
• Demonstrate an understanding of common construction methods and materials, and translate findings into risk-based assessments.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, including external wall fire assessment reports, façade engineering notes, and supporting appendices.
• Support external wall fire safety assessments, including UK PAS 9980–led appraisals and related desktop studies.
• Assist with thermal engineering tasks, including thermal bridging reviews and U-value assessments under supervision.
• Support coordination and review of test evidence, certifications, and product data relevant to façade and external wall performance.
• Assist senior engineers with coordination between internal disciplines and external stakeholders.
• Attend site visits, design meetings, and client meetings as required.
• Maintain accurate records and project documentation per internal procedures.
• Engage in training, mentoring, and professional development activities.
• Adhere to Jensen Hughes quality, safety, and governance procedures.
