Arendt & Medernach in Luxembourg invites an experienced lawyer to join its Litigation & Dispute Resolution group. You will work on civil and commercial litigation, handling cases across industries with a focus on complex disputes and enforcement matters.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in civil law, an Luxembourg Avocat à la Cour qualification, 2–5 years’ experience, and is fluent in French and English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in civil law and a strong academic record.
• LLM degree is preferred.
• 2–5 years of civil and commercial litigation experience in Luxembourg.
• Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Work on civil and commercial litigation cases across industries.
• Handle complex disputes including contractual, shareholder, and insolvency matters.
• Manage recognition and enforcement cases (exequatur of foreign judgments and arbitral awards).
• Handle civil liability and insurance disputes with proactive case management.

Experienced Lawyer - Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Your role:

• Work on civil and commercial litigation cases;
• More specifically, you will be handling litigation files in many industries and areas of practice including complex commercial and corporate disputes (contractual disputes, shareholder and investor disputes, financial disputes, insolvency related disputes);
• You will also deal with recognition and enforcement cases (attachments, exequatur of foreign judgments and arbitral awards);
• Finally, you will also handle civil liability and insurance disputes (professional liability, medical matters, major accidents and personal injuries).

Your profile:

• You have a strong academic record in civil law (Master's degree), ideally completed by an LLM degree;
• You are registered with the Luxembourg bar as "Avocat à la Cour";
• You have gained at least between 2 and 5 years of professional experience, in the fields of civil and commercial litigation in Luxembourg;
• You are fluent in French and English. Every other language is considered a real asset;
• You are able to prioritize and efficiently handle multiple tasks;
• You are open-minded, self-driven, flexible and capable of working pro-actively and well organized in very dynamic and demanding environment.
