Job summary
DWS Group in Luxembourg is seeking an ETF/Index Portfolio Engineer (Xtrackers) to join the Passive Portfolio Management Team. You will manage index equity portfolios, support client flows, and optimize hedging and tracking error across complex benchmarks.
The role requires strong quantitative skills, knowledge of index methodologies, and proficiency with Python, VBA, Excel, Bloomberg and related analytics tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience.
- Strong quantitative/analytical skills with exposure to index methodologies and ETF servicing.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out daily management of the index equity portfolios via portfolio construction and trade implementation
- Supporting the management of client flows efficiently
- Managing investment and risk exposures, and determining optimal hedging strategies
- Determining optimal portfolio strategy to minimize tracking error to index and ensure trading accuracy
- Working on projects to create efficiency and scale/automation for platform development
- Collaborating with trading desks to determine optimal execution strategies
- Contributing to product development processes
- Overseeing NAV, portfolio composition reconciliations and performance attribution
