Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled senior Enterprise / Technology Architect to drive a strategic transformation within a complex technology landscape. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture, with a strong aptitude for assessing multiple platforms including custom applications, SaaS solutions, and low/no-code technologies. This role focuses on evaluating current landscapes and aligning future technology decisions with business requirements to create a cohesive architecture strategy.

Main Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the existing application and technology landscape, along with business requirements and current decision-making processes.
• Assess business requirements’ maturity to determine readiness for technology decisions.
• Refine and challenge requirements to prepare them for implementation.
• Evaluate the current technology landscape against business needs to determine a strategy to build, buy, reuse, modernize, or retire components.
• Develop and compare viable technology and platform options based on evaluation.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and provide strategic advisory support on platform decisions.
• Define the target enterprise and integration architectures while ensuring alignment across all layers.
• Prepare migration strategies from the existing landscape to the target architecture.
• Support Agile product development life cycle structuring through all stages, including MVP delivery.
• Document architectural decisions, create visual diagrams, and present clear recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• Senior-level experience in Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture.
• Demonstrated experience in assessing complex IT landscapes and defining target architectures.
• Proven capability in evaluating Build vs. Buy vs. Reuse vs. Retire decisions.
• Strong grasp of integration architecture and contemporary application architecture models.
• Solid understanding of data modeling and database technologies.
• Pragmatic evaluation of technology options without bias towards specfic vendors.
• Experience in architecture documentation and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in international and multi-stakeholder settings.
• Experience with Product Strategy/Product Ownership is a strong advantage.
• Highly desirable experience in Agile development and MVP methodologies.

Other Details

The position is based in Brussels, adopting a hybrid working model that requires regular on-site presence, especially during the initial phase. Proficiency in English is essential for this role.
