McKim & Creed is seeking an Engineering Student Intern, Water/Wastewater to join our Newark, DE office this summer. You will work on municipal water and wastewater projects as part of a project team, gaining hands-on design experience while mentors guide you.

The role requires pursuing a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, junior status preferred, with strong writing, communication, organization, and the ability to follow directions from the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, junior status preferred.
• Solid communicator with strong writing and verbal skills.
• Ability to follow directives from Project Manager and coordinate with the design team.

Responsabilités

• Provides technical and design services in support of municipal water and wastewater projects as part of a project team.
• Conducts technical evaluations.
• Prepares design computations and assessments.
• Assists in providing design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
• Reports directly to their supervisor.
• Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
• Communicates and coordinates technical evaluations and designs, and writes reports and correspondence with the Project Manager and design team.

Your Day-day Will Include

• Provides technical and design services in support of municipal water and wastewater projects as part of a project team.
• Conducts technical evaluations.

What You Need

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, junior status preferred.
• Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills.
• Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from Project Manager and coordinate efforts with design team.
• Strong writing and verbal skills.
• Able to complete work consistently with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by Project Manager(s).
• Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
