Airswift is seeking a Market Expert & Data Analyst for Belgium/Europe to support future electricity system scenarios and long-term outlooks. The role blends data analysis, modelling, and stakeholder engagement across Belgium with three onsite days weekly.

Freelance setup, ASAP start, and 31/12/2027 end date. Responsibilities include collecting data, building tools in Python/R, and delivering Power BI visualisations and presentations for energy market insights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data analysis and modelling experience.
• Strong Python and/or R programming skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proven knowledge of the Belgian and European energy markets.
• Understanding of energy transition, decarbonisation and future energy scenarios.
• Experience analysing and challenging complex datasets.
• Fluent English plus Dutch and/or French.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Collect, validate and challenge energy market data and future energy scenarios.
• Analyse trends in electricity demand, generation, decarbonisation and energy transition initiatives.
• Build and maintain analytical tools using Python and/or R.
• Consolidate large datasets for modelling and scenario development.
• Develop reports, presentations and stakeholder-facing materials.
• Support workshops, consultations and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Create and improve data visualisations using Power BI, R, Python, Excel or similar tools.
• Contribute to market intelligence and energy sector research.
