Companion.energy is hiring a Data Scientist to build forecasting, optimization, and control algorithms for our energy platform. You will work on energy demand forecasts, market price predictions, and second-by-second asset control, translating insights into implemented, measurable decisions that affect megawatts and money.

You will collaborate with a small team to model complex energy contracts, forecast demand and production, and deploy controllers in production to drive value and reduce risk

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in machine learning, time series forecasting, and statistical modeling.
• Experience with control algorithms and real-time decision making under uncertainty.
• Comfort deploying models and control solutions in production environments.

Responsabilités

• Develop forecasting models for energy demand, renewable production, and market prices.
• Design and implement real-time control algorithms for asset dispatch decisions.
• Build optimization pipelines across portfolios under uncertainty.
• Integrate prediction, planning and execution into autonomous stochastic systems.
