Companion.energy is seeking a Data Scientist to build forecasting, optimization, and control algorithms at the core of our platform. You will work on energy demand forecasting, market price prediction, and real-time asset control that influence decisions across megawatts and millions in value.

Join a small, impact-focused team moving toward a renewable, flexible grid. You’ll deploy models to production and iterate quickly in a hybrid Belgium-based environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in ML, time series forecasting, and statistical modeling.
• Experience with model predictive control or stochastic control.
• Experience with short-term power or flexibility trading.
• Proficiency in Python and the standard data/scientific stack.

Responsabilités

• Forecast energy demand, renewable production, and market prices.
• Develop real-time asset dispatch and control algorithms.
• Build optimization pipelines for portfolios under uncertainty.
• Connect prediction, planning and execution into autonomous systems.
