The Chemours Company is seeking an EMEA Product Stewardship & Regulatory Consultant to join the Thermal & Specialized Solutions Business Sustainability Team. Based in Barcelona, Asturias, or Brussels, you will bridge regulatory experts with the business across EMEA, translating evolving regulations into practical actions to keep products compliant and commercially successful.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in regulated environments.
  • Experience in Product Stewardship, Regulatory Affairs, Product Compliance or related areas.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory information into clear business guidance.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Support product sustainability activities for new product development projects.
  • Provide stewardship guidance for management of change decisions.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders across EMEA.
  • Support implementation of evolving regulatory requirements across the business.

Chemours is seeking an EMEA Product Stewardship & Regulatory Consultant to join our growing Thermal & Specialized Solutions Business Sustainability Team. This position can be based in Barcelona, Asturias, or Brussels and reports directly to the Business Global Sustainability Leader.

As the EMEA Product Stewardship & Regulatory Consultant, you will serve as the bridge between regulatory experts and the business across EMEA. While this role is regionally focused and does not hold global responsibility, it works closely with a global product stewardship and sustainability team to support business objectives and share expertise. You will help translate evolving chemical regulations and sustainability requirements into practical business actions that ensure Chemours products remain compliant, trusted, and commercially successful throughout their lifecycle.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Monitor and assess emerging regulatory and sustainability developments impacting the product portfolio.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into practical business recommendations and implementation plans.
  • Lead product stewardship reviews and identify emerging compliance risks.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to product stewardship and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure products remain compliant, marketable, and aligned with sustainability objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with regulatory subject matter experts to evaluate regulatory changes and business impacts.
  • Support product sustainability activities for new product development projects.
  • Provide stewardship guidance for management of change (MOC) decisions.
  • Work closely with commercial, technical, sustainability, operations, and product management stakeholders across EMEA.
  • Support implementation of evolving regulatory requirements across the business.
The following is required for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or another related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Product Stewardship, Regulatory Affairs, Product Compliance, Chemical Compliance, EHS, or related experience.
  • Experience working within a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory information into clear business guidance.
  • Strong project planning and coordination capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a global team.
  • Fluency in English.
The following is preferred for this role:
  • Experience with fluorochemical products or organofluoride chemistries.
  • Knowledge of PFAS-related regulatory developments.
  • Experience with EU REACH, UK REACH, Turkey REACH, or F-Gas regulations.
  • Experience supporting product sustainability programs.
  • Experience working with SAP, Salesforce, or data analytics tools.
  • Additional language skills such as Spanish, Dutch, or French.

Recruitment process
  • Recruitment interview via Microsoft Teams interview (30-45 minutes)
  • Korn Ferry online assessment (approximately 100 minutes)
  • 1st interview with the Hiring Manager and a business stakeholder (60 minutes)
  • Final interview round (45 minutes)

Pay Range (in local currency):

€54,800.00 - €122,938.00

Annual Bonus Target:

9%
