Job summary

Engibex, a Belgian engineering consultancy, seeks engineers to design electrical and electronics subsystems for spacecraft missions. You will handle power electronics, high-speed digital hardware, and sensor interfaces while engaging across teams to deliver complete systems.

The role covers digital/analog embedded hardware, development from specification to maintenance, and test-plan creation. Depending on experience, you may drive full projects and lead a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical/electro-mechanical engineering or related field.
• Several years of work experience in electronics circuit design.
• Ability to drive designs to completion with cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with diagnosis/debug and system-level testing methodologies.
• Strong communication and willingness to learn and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Support or lead electrical and electronics subsystem design for spacecraft missions, including power electronics and high-speed digital hardware.
• Work on digital and analog embedded hardware.
• Support all stages of the development chain: spec, design, integration, test, operations, maintenance.
• Develop test plans to ensure thorough unit and system testing.
• Support design reviews to ensure requirements and interfaces are met.
• When appropriate, lead full projects and supervise multidisciplinary teams of flight software/FPGA and mechanical/thermal engineers.

Job Description

• Support or lead electrical and electronics subsystem design for spacecraft missions, including power electronics, high-speed digital hardware, sensor interface.
• Work on digital and analog embedded hardware
• Support all aspects of the development chain: specification, design, integration, test, operations, and maintenance
• Develop test plans that ensure adequate testing of units and the complete system
• Support design reviews to ensure requirements and interface compliance
• Depending on experience, drive full projects and lead a team of multidisciplinary engineers of flight software/ FPGA developers and mechanical/thermal engineers

Profile / Requirements

Must have

• MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electro-mechanical Engineering or related field
• Several years of work experience in electronics circuit design
• Ability to work across the team and company to drive designs to completion
• Experience with diagnosis/debug and system level testing methodologies
• Good communication
• Willing to learn
• Good English knowledge

Nice to have

• A passion for technology and rapid execution of sophisticated space missions
• Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python, C)
• Proficiency with common industry electronic design and simulation software
