Bridge Industrial bv. is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to lead preventive and corrective electrical maintenance of industrial installations in Antwerpen.

You will handle drive systems, power electronics, and PLC diagnostics while ensuring safe operation of high-power equipment. We value 5+ years in industrial production, ATEX knowledge, Dutch/English fluency, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics or Automation Technology is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of drive systems (VFD/VSD) and power electronics.
• Experience with PLC systems (Siemens S7/TIA Portal or Allen-Bradley).

Responsabilités

• Troubleshooting and fault resolution in production.
• Drive technology installation and maintenance of VFDs, motors, lighting, MOVs.
• Emergency power management for UPS systems.
• Work on high-power electrical installations including MCCs, transformers, LV switchboards and motor control circuits.
• Preventive maintenance and proactive component replacement.
• Contribute to optimization projects and update electrical schematics (EPLAN).
• ATEX zoning knowledge and applicable safety measures.

What will you do?

As an experienced Electrical Technician, you will be a key member of our maintenance team. You will be responsible for the preventive and corrective electrical maintenance of our industrial installations. You will work with complex systems and are comfortable dealing with both heavy-duty electrical equipment and sensitive electronics.

Your main responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and fault resolution: You are the first point of contact for acute electrical and electromechanical breakdowns in the production process.
• Drive technology: You install and maintain variable frequency drives, including VFDs, motors, lighting systems and MOVs.
• Emergency power: You will be jointly responsible for managing and monitoring our UPS systems, ensuring that our control systems continue to operate safely in the event of a power failure.
• Power systems: You work safely and independently on high-power electrical installations, MCCs & transformers, low-voltage switchboards and motor control circuits.
• Preventive maintenance: You carry out inspections and proactively replace electrical components to minimize downtime.
• Optimization & Projects: You actively contribute ideas to improve our PLC-controlled machinery, cabling, sensors and control cabinets. You update electrical schematics (EPLAN) where necessary.
• ATEX: You have knowledge of ATEX zoning and understand which measures and equipment are required in each zone.

Your profile

We are looking for a driven professional with a passion for industrial electrical systems. You remain calm and maintain an overview, even when production pressure is high.

Education: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics or Automation Technology.

Experience: You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in an industrial production environment.

Technical knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of drive systems (VFD / VSD) and power electronics.
• Demonstrable experience working with power circuits and control circuits.
• Knowledge of emergency power systems (UPS) is a must.
• Basic to good knowledge of PLC systems (e.g. Siemens S7/TIA Portal or Allen-Bradley) to perform diagnostics.

Safety: You hold valid BA4/BA5 electrical safety certificates, or are willing to obtain them within a short period of time. Working safely is an absolute priority for you.

Languages: You speak and understand Dutch and English fluently.
